There are many tools our there that help you to annotate a website, but the simplest one is Beep.

All you need to do is download it's browser extension and then you can annotate any website on the web just like leaving sticky notes on your desk. Once you download it, all you need is to click Alt/Option + C and you can annotate any website.

3 simple steps to annotate a website🪄

Step 1

Download Beep's free browser extension from the chrome store. Here is the link.

Step 2

Once downloaded all you need to do is sign up. It takes a few seconds via Google Sign In or Email Sign in.

Step 3 (Annotate or Draw)

Additional Features to add to your website annotations (Optional)

1. Sharing Annotations with other people

After annotating the website if you want to share your annotations with anyone, all you need to do is click this link. It will copy  a link with all your annotations that can be shared with anyone regardless whether they have a Beep account or not.

2. Turning annotations into tasks

Each annotation can be managed as a task and assigned to other people if you wish. This is especially useful if you are working in a team and want to share your notes with your teammates. For that you can go to Beep's dashboard and open board view. There you can manage the task status for each annotation

3. Adding attachments to your annotations

This is also possible with Beep. You can attach up to 50mb files for any annotation you create on a website. This helps you to better explain your ideas and the changes you want to achieve. Many of Beep's users use it to add files that their teammates need to better understand that annotation.

4. Recording your screen

Sometimes you need to explain in more details what your annotation is all about. You can do this by recording your screen directly through Beep and attaching that screen recording to your annotation. This is especially useful if you are annotation on a dynamic website.

5. Emailing your website annotations

If you are using email as your main communication tool then Beep got you covered. You can easily email all of your annotations to your teammates and clients.
